Say, "I possess no power to harm myself, or benefit myself; only what GOD wills takes place." Each community has a predetermined life span. Once their interim comes to an end, they cannot delay it by one hour, nor advance it.

Say: "I do not possess for myself any harm or benefit except what God wills. For every nation is a time. When their time comes, they cannot delay it one hour nor advance it."

De ki: "Allah dilemedikçe, kendime bile, ne bir yitim ne de bir yarar verme gücüm yok. Her toplum için bir süre belirlenmiştir. Süreleri dolduğunda, artık, ne bir saat ertelenirler ne de öne alınırlar!"

De ki "Kendim için, zararlı veya yararlı bir iş yapmaya gücüm yetmez; Allah'ın koyduğu kanuna uyarsam başka[1]. Her toplumun (ümmetin) bir eceli vardır. Ne ecelleri gelince onu bir süre erteleyebilirler, ne de ecelleri gelmeden[2] onun gelmesini sağlayabilirler.[3]"
