So when Moses came to Our appointed time, and his Lord spoke to him, he said: "My Lord, let me look upon you." He said: "You will not see Me, but look upon the mountain, if it stays in its place then you will see Me." So when his Lord revealed Himself to the mountain, He caused it to crumble; thus Moses fell unconscious. When he awoke, he said: "Glory to You, I repent to You and I am the first of those who believe."

So, when his Lord manifested Himself to the mountain, He caused it to crumble; thus Moses fell unconscious. When he recovered, he said, "Glory be to You, I repent to You and I am the first of those who acknowledge."

Musa, belirlediğimiz zamanda geldiğinde, Efendisi, Onunla konuştu. "Efendim! Bana görün; Seni göreyim!" dedi. "Beni, asla göremezsin! Fakat dağa bak; o yerinde durursa, o zaman, Beni görebilirsin!" Efendisi dağa belirince, onu paramparça etti ve Musa bayılarak yere düştü. Kendine geldiğinde, şöyle dedi: "Sen, tüm yakıştırmalardan ayrıksın. Pişmanlığımı Sana gösterdim. Çünkü ben, inananların öncüsüyüm!"[124]

Musa belirlenen vakitte gelip de Rabbi onunla konuşunca dedi ki "Rabbim! Bana kendini göster de seni seyredeyim." Dedi ki "Beni göremezsin, ama şu dağa bak; eğer yerinde kalabilirse daha sonra beni görürsün." Rabbi dağa görünür görünmez orasını dümdüz etti. Musa düşüp bayıldı. Kendine gelince dedi ki "Sana içten boyun eğerim, sana yöneldim. Ben inanıp güvenenlerin en önde olanıyım."

Musa, belirlenen vakitte bize gelince ve Efendisi kendisiyle konuşunca, "Efendim, bana görün, sana bakayım" dedi. "Beni göremezsin. Ancak şu dağa bak; yerinde durursa o zaman beni göreceksin" dedi. Efendisi, dağa görününce onu paramparça etti ve bunun üzerine Musa kendinden geçti. Ayılınca, "Sen yücesin, sana yöneliyorum. Ben iman edenlerin en önde olanıyım" dedi.[1]
