Ne ki, (kendisine imanı telkin eden) ana babasına "İkinize de yuh olsun! Ne yani, benden önce bunca nesil gelip geçtiği halde (hiç biri dirilmemişken) bana diriltileceğimi mi söylüyorsunuz?" diye çıkışan da var. Ana-baba da Allah'ın yardımına sığınarak (şöyle der): "Yazıklar olsun sana! Şuna kesinlikle inan ki, Allah'ın vaadi mutlaka gerçekleşecektir." Bunun üzerine şöyle der: "Bunlar eskilerin masallarından başka bir şey değildir."

Then there is the one who says to his parents, "Woe to you; are you telling me that (after death) I will come back to life? How come those who died before us never come back?" The parents would cry for GOD's help and say, "Woe to you; please believe! GOD's promise is the truth." He would say, "Tales from the past!"

And the one who says to his parents: "Enough of you! Are you promising me that I will be resurrected, when the generations who died before me never came back?" While they both will implore God: "Woe to you; believe! For the promise of God is the truth." He would say: "This is nothing except fictional tales of old!"

Oysa o, anne-babasına, şöyle dedi: "Öf size! Daha önce nice kuşaklar gelip geçmişken, yeniden yaratılışı öne sürerek, bana gözdağı mı veriyorsunuz?" Ve onlar, Allah'a sığınarak; "Yazıklar olsun sana! Allah'ın sözünü verdiğinin gerçek olduğuna kesinlikle inanmalısın!" Bunun üzerine, şöyle dedi: "Öncekilerin söylencelerinden başka bir şey değil bu!"
