The Romans have won,

At the lowest point on the earth. But after their victory, they will be defeated.

In a few more years. The decision before and after is for God, and on that day those who acknowledge will rejoice.

With God's victory. He gives victory to whom He wishes; He is the Noble, the Compassionate.

Such is God's pledge, and God does not break His pledge, but most people do not know.

They only know the outside appearance of the worldly life; and regarding the Hereafter, they are ignorant.

Did they not reflect upon themselves? God did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them except by truth and an appointed term. But most of the people are in denial regarding their meeting with their Lord.

Did they not roam the earth and see how it ended for those before them? They were more powerful than them, and they cultivated the land and they built in it far more than these have built, and their messengers came to them with the proofs. God was not to wrong them, but it was they who wronged themselves.

Then the end of those who did evil was evil, that is because they denied God's signs, and they used to mock them.
